But surely all the homeless go to Crisis over Christmas?

Many do, but certainly not all.

The London Mobile Christmas Service is there for the vulnerably housed, as well as those actually living rough on the streets.

Those who do live on the streets do so for a number of often complex reasons. Many do not feel able to stay in hostels or Christmas accommodation. Over the Christmas period, many of London's homeless choose to remain on the streets. We are here to help them through the holiday period when many of their normal places of refuge and help are closed to them.

How have conditions changed in the last 10 years or so?

They have improved tremendously. There is much more recognition of the homeless and vulnerably housed, and greater provision of services, particularly medical services. As a result, we have seen a marked improvement in the health and general condition of our guests in the last ten years.
